Max Temperature
As expected, the weather becomes significantly warmer as one approaches the equator. Of the 554 cities examined, the hottest maximum temperatures occur with the cities that are on the equator and those that are 20-40 degrees above and below the equator. The cities that are 60 degrees below the equator have a higher maximum temperature than those that are 60 degrees above the equator. Thus, given the dataset, it is shown that the cities that lie below the equator have higher maximum temperatures than those cities that lie above the equator. Though, the highest maximum temperatures are those that lie between 20 degrees below and 40 degrees above the equator. Thus, based on this sample of cities, the weather does get hotter as we approach the equator— although more so from the south than from the north.
